Our Student are prepared for junior school by the quality of education recieved in our primary school. Admission into Towergate is simple but thorough. Pupils seeking admission into Primary are examined before admission is offered. Pupils seeking admission into the Primary are examined before admission is offered. Admission forms are obtained from the Office of the Registrar, Towergate Private Schools, 1 – 10 School Drive, Majiyagbe Layout, Ipaja. Admission forms must be carefully completed by parents or guardians and returned to the Registrar on time for processing.
The school calendar runs from September to July every year in compliance with Lagos State Government directives and Federal Government regulations. Usually, there are holidays at Christmas and Easter, and a long vacation of 6 to 8 weeks between August and September. The School also observes all Muslim and Christian public holidays as declared by the Federal and State Governments.
The school year is broken into three terms. First term runs between September and December; second term is between January and April; third term is between April and July. Classes are held from Monday to Friday except where public holidays are declared. Remedial classes and practical lessons may be held on Saturdays.
The school day starts with the Morning Assembly by 8:00am and closes with the afternoon assembly by 3:00pm. The school lessons are held between 3:30pm and 5:00pm. There are 3 break periods between 8:00am and 5:00pm for the students to relax in between lessons.
Towergate Private Schools have many co-curricular programmes for the pupils/students to develop and round up their cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. There are also various clubs and societies in the school, and students/pupils are free to belong to any of them.
These clubs/societies include JET Club, Young Farmers Club, Literary and Debating Society, Dramatic Club, Cultural Troupe, School Choir, Home Makers’ Club, Boys Scout, Girls Guide, Karate, Taekwando, Press Club, etc.
All pupils/students are required to participate in the club and society activities. Students’ attendance in both sports & club activities is compulsory unless where students are exempted based on medical/health reasons.
Endowments and prizes are an important part of our motivational package for our pupils and students. At the end of each session, the school holds it annual grand ceremonies involving parties, literary programmes, speech making and prize giving ceremonies.
At towergate we cherish our relationship with parents and we encourage them to participate in our meetings and events. We believe the parents are in abetter position to know the children best.
Through parent- teacher communication, the parents are able share thier level of expectation with the teachers. They inform the teachers of new behaviours noticed with their children.
When parents participate in our events, they are up to date on what is going on in the school and are able to make contributions, seek help and support while reaching out to other parents.
The school academic programmes for Pre-primary run in the school are in line with government regulations, National curricula, school modules and syllabi of respective examination bodies. Consequently, various subjects are offered at this level.
